I am an associate professor in the Department of Economics at Smith College. My research interests lie at the intersection of development, environmental, and agricultural economics, with a primary regional focus on India. and a secondary focus on Africa. I earned my PhD in Economics at Yale University in 2013.

My research centers on two overarching questions: How will households in low- and middle-income countries be impacted by and respond to environmental challenges, especially climate change? And, to what extent can government policies cushion these impacts?
